PHOTOGRAMMETRY PUBLIC LECTURE IMPLEMENTATION FOR ARCHEOLOGY ON BLANJONG INSCRIPTION

On 3 February 2023, the Archeology Study Program held a Public Lecture with the theme Photogrammetry for Archeology which was held offline at the 4th Floor of the Poerbatjaraka Building, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University and online via Cisco Webex. This public lecture was delivered by Mr. Goenawan A. Sambodo, who is fondly called 'Mbah Goen', moderated by Mr. Kristiawan, S.S, M.A. as a lecturer in the Archeology Study Program at Udayana University.

Mbah Goen introduced the concept of Photogrammetry for Archeology as an effective way of digitally archiving data on archaeological remains such as inscriptions, statues, to temple buildings which can be reconstructed in 3D visual form. This is a big step in the world of archeology according to the times. Mbah Goen said, "With photogrammetry of archaeological remains, we may find and see what cannot be seen by the naked eye but can be seen by the system." The public lecture continued withworkshop in the Blanjong Inscription Cultural Reserve, Sanur, Denpasar, Bali. Activityworkshop attended by students together with the Udayana Archeology lecturer under the guidance of Mbah Goen, directly implementing the photogrammetry material that had been delivered.
