Farewell Ceremony for Archaeology Study Program Graduates through the 177th and 178th Period Graduation Assessment of the Faculty of Humanities

Denpasar, August 29, 2026 — The Archaeology Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, celebrated the students who have completed their studies through the 177th and 178th Graduation Ceremonies. The event was held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium in the Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra Building, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University.

The graduation ceremony is one of the important stages in the process of completing a student’s education at the faculty level. Through this event, students who have met the academic and administrative requirements receive recognition for completing their studies before participating in the university-level commencement ceremony.

At the Graduation Ceremony for Prospective Graduates of the 177th and 178th sessions, the Archaeology Program sends off 17 students who have completed their studies at the Faculty of Humanities. This occasion is particularly special as it marks the end of their academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter in their service to the local community, the nation, and the pursuit of knowledge. The graduation ceremony is an absolute prerequisite that marks the administrative and academic conclusion of students’ studies at the faculty.

The graduates from this graduation ceremony demonstrated excellent academic quality and efficiency in their studies. The following are the names of the prospective graduates who participated in the 177th and 178th graduation ceremonies from the Archaeology Program:

1. Rafael Renaldi Avin, S.S., Duration of Study: 7 years, 11 months. GPA: 3.35 (Grade: Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “Management Strategies for the Liang Bua Site as a Tourist Attraction.”
2. I Gede Yudha Parameswara Giri, S.S., Duration of Study: 7 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.49 (Grade: Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “Visual Language in the Erotic Reliefs at Pura Dalem Penunggekan, Bangli Subdistrict, Bangli Regency.”
3. Wildan Priastomo Nugroho, S.S., Duration of Study: 7 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.45 (Grade: Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “The Significance of Differences in the Types and Quantities of Burial Goods in Holocene Burials at the Liang Bua Site on Flores.”
4. Yabes Sahat Tua Situmorang, S.S., Duration of Study: 5 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.72 (Grade: Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “A Comparative Study of the Architectural Typology of PNIEL Churches in Bali.”
5. Mhd. Fridanta Rahman, S.S., Duration of Study: 5 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.84 (Grade: Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “Development Strategies for the Godang House Area in Koto Sentajo Village, Sentajo Raya Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency.”
6. Irfan Maulana Azizy, S.S., Duration of Study: 4 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.85 (Rating: Highly Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “Identification of the Distribution of Potential Caves and Habitable Cavities in the Ajibarang Karst Area, Banyumas, Central Java.”
7. Anugerah Banyu Bela Justitia, S.S., Duration of Study: 4 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.68 (Grade: Very Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “The Cultural Heritage Building: The House of Dr. KRT Radjiman Wediodiningrat in Ngawi Regency—A Study of Form and Functional Changes.
8. Kadek Nanda Ariawan, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.76 (With Honors). Thesis Title: “Statues at Pura Puseh in Bale Agung Abianbase Village, Abianbase Traditional Village, Gianyar Sub District, Gianyar Regency.”
9. I Made Aditya Ariska Bintang S., S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years, 10 months. GPA: 3.89 (With Honors). Thesis Title: “Dwarapala Statues at Puri Kaba-kaba, Tabanan, Bali.”
10. Bismatara Anggara Putra, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years and 10 months. GPA: 3.95 (With Honors). Thesis Title: “Archaeological Remains at the Bon Gontor Site in the Social and Religious Context of the Sasak People in North Lombok.”
11. Immanuel Excelson Daniel Gosal, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years, 11 months. GPA: 3.85 (With Honors). Thesis Title: “Distribution Patterns of Colonial-Period Defense Structures in East Balikpapan Subdistrict, Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan.”
12. I Gusti Putu Alit Putra Mahendra, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.76 (With Honors). Thesis Title: “Religious Life and Social Dynamics of the 9th–14th Centuries CE in Candikuning Village, Baturiti Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency.”
13. 13. Sebastian Bramantyo Nugroho, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years, 11 months. GPA: 3.77 (Highly Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “Deployment Patterns and Strategic Significance of the Japanese New Central 1 and 2 Cannons During World War II.”
14. Ni Made Nadia Ari Dewi, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.8 (With Honors). Thesis Title: “Pura Kebo Edan: Preservation of Archaeological Remains by the Community of Pejeng Village, Gianyar Regency.”
15. I Made Bayu Tapa Wikrama, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.73 (With Honors). Thesis Title: “The Distribution of Statues in Bukian Village, Payangan Subdistrict, Gianyar Regency.”
16. Anak Agung Ayu Ngurah Jessika Nareswari, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.86 (With Honors). Thesis Title: “Strategies for the Maintenance and Protection of the Bunker Structure in RT 32, Manggar Baru Village, Balikpapan City as a Cultural Heritage Site.”
17. Putu Eka Suryana, S.S., Duration of Study: 3 years and 11 months. GPA: 3.68 (Highly Satisfactory). Thesis Title: “Analysis of Statue Remains at Pura Puseh in Medahan Village, Blahbatuh Subdistrict, Gianyar Regency: A Study of Form, Function, and Periodization.”

The graduation ceremony is not only a recognition of students’ success in completing their education but also an opportunity to celebrate the academic journey they have undertaken during their studies. Various learning processes, research, fieldwork, and organizational experiences are all part of the journey that has shaped the graduates during their time in the Archaeology Program.

Upon completing their studies, prospective graduates are expected to apply the knowledge and experience gained during their education to contribute to society and uphold the good name of their alma mater.

The Coordinator of the Archaeology Study Program, Zuraidah, S.S., M.Si., also extended her congratulations and best wishes to all graduates of the 177th and 178th commencement ceremonies.
