COLLABORATION OF UDAYANA UNIVERSITY'S ARCHAEOLOGY MAJOR WITH PAEI IN BOOK LAUNCHING AND ARCHAEOLOGY EXHIBITION PROF. I GDE SEMADI ASTRA

Denpasar, 13 December 2023 – The Archeology Study Program together with the Association of Indonesian Epigraphers (PAEI) collaborated in the event 'Sewana 2: Celebration of the Service of Prof. Multimedia Archeology Exhibition presented by 7th semester students. This event was attended by the Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, lecturers at the Archaeological Study Program at Udayana University, administrators and members of PAEI, along with invited guests from various other institutions.


The event was held in the Temporary Exhibition Room of the Bali Museum, starting with an opening and prayer session aimed at honoring the late Prof. I Gde Semadi Astra. Then the event continued with remarks from I Nyoman Widya Paramadhyaksa as the representative of the deceased's extended family, as well as remarks by Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, Dr. Ni Puji Ketut Astiti Laksmi, S.S., M.A..


After the opening and welcome, the agenda of the event continued into a relaxed discussion session guided by Rochtri Agung Bawono, S.S., M.Si. with speakers I Nyoman Widya Paramadhyaksa, I Gusti Ngurah Tara, and Luh Suwita Utami.


The event ended with a ribbon cutting as a symbol of the inauguration of the opening of the Multimedia Archeology Exhibition . The exhibition presented by archeology students at Udayana University displays a collection of relics from Prof. I Gde Semadi Astra, paintings, photos and immersive technology featuring videos of the deceased as well as interactive immersive technology.


By holding this exhibition, it is hoped that students will gain knowledge in holding exhibitions, presenting museum collections, and managing museum collections. Apart from that, it is hoped that by visiting this exhibition, visitors can feel entertained and remember the late Prof. I Gde Semadi Astra.
